Born In Assis, Brazil; Graduated in Law by the University of São Paulo Law School in 1995. Master's Degree in Law from the same university in 2001 with top marks and distinction. He studied Business Administration at the University of Delaware, completed in 1999. He attended the Executive MBA program at the Institute for Management Development (IMD), in Lausanne, Switzerland, concluded in 2006. He is a lawyer with large international experience focused on business structuring, taxes, and mergers and acquisitions. He began his career in large global law firm, with offices in Brazil. He directed an American multinational corporation (Fortune top 50) in the areas of legal, structuring, tax, and mergers and acquisitions. He worked in Wilmington, Delaware, USA, and Geneva, Switzerland, where he was responsible, until 2007, for the areas of taxation, mergers and acquisitions and new business for Europe, Middle East and Africa. He has several articles published in Brazil and abroad. Among his most important performances, the highlight was the advice (i) at the structuring of the sale to BMS of Dupont Pharma - pharmaceutical industry - for $ 8 billion, (ii) the structuring and sale of Invista to Koch group - industry – for $ 4 billion, (iii) the purchase of a biotechnology company for $2 billion and (iv) at adia’s 2008 debt restructuring of finances, a Brazilian company leader in the food sector, he provided leadership in its association with Perdigão to form the BrF. Fluent in Portuguese, English and Spanish

  • Gustavo Contrucci was one of the leading lawyers of Sadia, at the negotiation and formation of BrF - Brazil Foods, association with Perdigão which resulted in one of the largest food companies in the world, and one of the largest exporters in the southern hemisphere.
  • Structured all the investment of a large British group in Brazil, both on corporate and commercial, and tax and regulatory frameworks.
  • Before that he led DuPont for tax matters, new business, mergers and acquisitions for Europe, Middle East and Africa, based in Geneva, Switzerland.
  • Contrucci was the leading lawyer at the structuring and sale of Concordia’s banks and brokerage.
